Prism 2.3
Our July release comes with a number of new features, enhancements and fixes. Learn more below.
Help Center
You're looking at it! Ryan has been working tirelessly to answer all of your questions and help you with all things Prism, but even Ryan sleeps so we wanted to put as many answers in front of you so you can learn more about all aspects of Prism at your own leisure. So go ahead and look around, search for some answers to your questions, and let us know what you think! Don't worry, if you have a burning question or a problem, simply message us and we'll help you just like we always have!
Home Screen Improvements
It should be easy to add a new bill, payday or balance, so we've made it possible for you to add these directly from the home screen. Simply tap the + in the upper right. If you're wondering where your notifications went, don't worry, we moved them to a button on the tab bar below.
Notification Improvements
Along with moving the notifications to a new home, we've made it easier for you to track the notifications as they come in. The handy mail icon will only open once you've actually viewed the notification. This way you will be able to know at a glance what you've inspected and what you haven't.
Account Linking
Since the earliest versions of Prism, we let you link your payment accounts to the account balances we have synced from your biller. For many banks and credit cards, we've been able to do this automatically because we can match things up using the account numbers. However, we've found that a lot of credit unions don't let us do this, so the experience in Prism up until now has been pretty darn clunky. We think we've fixed that - so go ahead and try to link up your payment accounts and balances by viewing them in the Payment Accounts section and let us know what you think. Once you link them, you will be able to see your balance when paying your bills. Neat, eh?
Biller Archiving
Have a biller that you've been paying for a long period of time but no longer do so because you switched providers or moved? You can now archive that biller to keep it around for record keeping but out of the way from your day to day tasks.Trend Graphs
You may have previously noticed some oddities when viewing trend graphs. Occasionally the scale would be super unhelpful and it was difficult to see how much things changes. The scale is now more useful and there are guide lines to help you quickly eye changes over time.
Scheduled Bill Notifications
If you ever schedule a bill to be paid for the future, Prism will of course dutifully pay your bill on the day you chose. However, we've heard from a few of you that you'd appreciate an extra reminder that we're going to pay your bill, so we've done just that. Around 8 PM the day before you're scheduled to pay, we'll give you a heads up that we're going to pay tomorrow. No action needed on your part - just enjoy the peace of mind that we're on top of things!
Bill Pay Enhancements
You can now see how much money you have in your payment account right when you're paying a bill! We also clarified some of the terminology we use when you view a bill. We aim to make it completely obvious what happens when you pay. We also touched up the flow after you pay - it's now shinier than ever!
Unsupported Billers
As you know, we're always hard at work adding support for more and more billers - we support more than 7,000 and are adding many more per week. However, we've heard from some of you that it isn't completely clear after you add a bill or balance that we don't support. We now show those items at the very bottom of the Bills and Money tabs on the home screen so that you don't lose track of them. We'll add support for them as soon as we can!
Sound Effects
For a long time, we've felt that having sound effects would add more polish to the Prism experience. We have now added a number of sound effects to make your actions in Prism more obvious. Don't worry, if you don't like sounds, simply go to Settings and then Sounds and you can permanently turn them off.
General Improvements
- Today: You'll always be taken to Today when you open your Bills tab, even if you don't have anything due today.
- iOS: If you enabled Touch ID and you accidentally dismissed the Touch ID prompt, we previously made you enter your PIN. You can now bring the prompt back by tapping the shiny new fingerprint button.
- Android: We spruced up the device notifications you receive and improved their bookkeeping so you shouldn't see duplicate notifications if you don't launch Prism for a few days when bills are due.
- Small screens: if you're still using an iPhone 4 or similarly small Android phone, we've made some improvements so that things like your bill fit more nicely on the screen.
